Simon Elcocks partner thought the perfect birthday present for him would be a tutorial at Horseshoe Lake with James Anderson Professional Angling Tuition. She wasn’t wrong as he landed his first 20 in style with this 28lb mirror which more than doubled his previous PB.

His best friend John Elcock came along for the day as well and managed four fish including three 20’s to just under 24lbs. All the fish were caught on Dynamite Source boilies over several kilos of frenzied hemp, marine halibut pellets and boilies on a gravel patch at 25 yards range.
